Projects on the Saker

You may like to read the planning document that is being followed for this Portal Flagship Project of the CMS Saker Task Force. Funding is also sought for a second Flagship Project on restoring Saker populations through providing nest-boxes.

Global Expansion
Networking developed from Sakernet. The linking between this site and the original Sakernet portal gave the idea for developing a complete network of regional sites based on a multilingual hub. The first of these, launched in 2017, was Perdixnet, to encourage restoration of farmland biodiversity in Europe. This was followed in 2019 by IUCN's launch of a global network to promote conservation through sustainable use. A talk given at the launch of networking for Sakernet explains how this all came about.
